Simple and quick modification for shortening the shifter in a 124 spider, it won't work with the stock shifter knob on the 2000 spiders, whick I personally don't like anyway.

So is the original top piece placed back into the shifter base after the cut or is that a new bolt? How is it held in? Does all the rubber and plastic fit back in? Big question ... Does it rattle?
